Thomas Koh graduated from the University of London with a LLB (Hons) Degree and is a Barrister of Lincolns Inn and was called to the English Bar in 1983. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1984. Thomas Koh has been acting for housing developers and financial institutions for many years and is thus familiar with security documentation for banks and finance companies. Presently Thomas Koh’s work is mainly in mergers and acquisitions. He also has experience in drafting commercial contracts, joint venture agreement, landlord and tenant agreements, sale and purchase of properties, and also provides advice relating to corporate and commercial law. A large portfolio of Thomas Koh’s clients are companies listed or about to be listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. Thomas Koh is involved in corporate advisory and restructuring exercises, and has done due diligence work for Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad, Amanah Merchant Bank Berhad, BSN Merchant Bankers Berhad and Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad. He also heads our Corporate Division. A large part of Thomas Koh’s work is acting and advising the State Government of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia and its statutory bodies. He is also advisor to the Menteri Besar, Negeri Sembilan (Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan). Thomas Koh has been appointed as a member of panel solicitors to act for the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board on 19th November, 2010. Thomas Koh also sits as a member of the Investigating  Tribunal and Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Council for which he has chaired many times.
